HCM DNA status: Negative (both Fae's parents have tested negative.)

Pedigree: Fae is out of Gracie and Kasa.

Litters: None -- and none to come, now that she's been spayed.

MEET FAE

Fae is a silver classic torbie and white female, daughter of Gracie and Kasa. We had hoped she would join our breeding program, but unfortunately, she had to be spayed at about 10 months due to mammary hyperplasia (which is rare in nonpregnant cats). Much to our relief, this uncomfortable and potentially serious condition was completely cured by spaying (it would have worsened considerably if she had been allowed to become pregnant).

So, now our sweet Faerie Queene is able to grace our home (and our laps) without having to worry about being in heat or having babies. However, she still does have to deal with her big brother Zeus, who continues to consider Fae to be his personal chew toy.
